I just had the opportunity to photograph this darling little newborn girl at only 1 week of age.  Her name is Harper Grace and she weighs in at 7 lbs. 5 oz.   I will have the opportunity to photograph Harper over the next year.  I look forward to capturing her and watching her grow.   This shot below is pretty simple and straight forward, but it is the simplicity and sweetness that I love about it.  She looks like a little angle.

I don’t typically do too many newborn shots in color but there is something I loved about the color in this shot below.  Maybe it is the mother’s vibrant red hair contrasting with the soft, fair skin tones.  I should mention that the mother is a hair stylist and I kept having to try to “fix” her bangs for her as they kept falling in her face.  Normally I feel very confident “fussing” with my clients hair to help perfect it for the pictures, but I felt rather intimidated trying to fix a hair stylist’s hair.  So I am really sorry if I didn’t fix it to your standards, mom….I take full responsibility.

I love the little “smiling” moment I caught with them in the middle portrait below.  It was somewhat candid.
