Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Jones…

Cree and Amanda were married in the Salt Lake Temple on April 25th.  I was married in the same place, during the same month, 11 years ago.  It is such a beautiful place to be married and it was a beautiful day.  A little chilly and overcast, but all seem to go smoothly and in our favor.  These two make such a great couple.  They are both so talented and so sweet and very much in love!  Many of the images from the day were begging to be processed in black and white.  It just seemed so fitting for the vintage style of the wedding.  Amanda wore her grandmother’s wedding dress and the bride’s maids were all wearing these darling vintage dresses varying in style and color.  I love that they were all different (you’ll see some pictures of them further down in this post.)  So the black and white processing seem to capture the romatic and vintage feel of the day.  It was beautiful.

In this shot Cree was actually looking at Amanda and admiring her while she was getting her picture taken behind me.

These next few shots of Cree and Amanda I just LOVE!  They were taken by Jefra using her lensbaby (editing was done by me).  Jefra and I are old missionary companions so it was so fun to spend the day together shooting and catching up on old times.  I’m so glad she agreed to shoot this wedding with me.  It was so much fun.  She let me try out her lensbaby and I immediately fell in love with it.  In fact, I bought my own the day after I got home.  I love the romantic and artistic feel you get with it.  These photos are amazing!!!  You did good Jefra!!

A couple more pictures taken by Jefra (edited by me).

I love the candidness and emotion in the pictures below.  Make special note of the family picture on the right.  I was just snapping random candid photos after they walked out of the temple.  When I was going through the photos the next day I discovered I had captured Amanda’s entire family in this frame.  They were surrounded by so many people that it just seems amazing only her family is in the frame.  (The 3 photos on the left were taken by Jefra {edited by me}…aren’t they great?!)

There’s just something I love about this shot with Amanda’s mom.

And the couple with the Amanda and Cree are the ones responsible for setting them up.  Nice work guys!

Aren’t all these vintage dresses so darling?!

Some detail shots from the day.  The flowers were beautiful.

Here are some details from the reception.  I love the vintage type writer.  The silhouettes were done by Amanda and are actual silhouettes of the bride and groom.  She is so talented and creative.

I always love the varied emotion you can capture during a good reception speech.  The father of the bride was speaking during these candid photos.

They were throwing dried lavender at the bride and groom.  It smelled soooo good!

Congratulations Amanda and Cree!  It was an honor to photograph your wedding.  Thank you for asking me!
